Mt Fuji Day Trip from Tokyo
A trip to Japan
would not be complete without seeing the icon of the country: Mount Fuji.
Located at 3,776 meters above sea level, it is the highest mountain in Japan.
Pick up from your hotel for a two-and-a-half-hour drive to
Mount Fuji. You will then continue by coach to the 5th mountain station, which
is about halfway up the mountain. You can marvel at the surrounding lakes and
browse the shops here.
If you are hungry, you can choose to have Japanese lunch or
buy your own meal. But then it's towards Lake Ashi in Hakone National Park. Go
on a short cruise on the lake for an incredible view of Fuji.
During this enchanting trip, you can also take the cable car
to Mount Komagatake, an aerial tram that takes you from the shores of the lake
to the mountains, with a 360-degree view.
From there you can see the monument which is Mount Fuji in
all its splendor. Go for a walk at the top of the mountain and visit the Shinto

high-speed train.
Tokyo Sightseeing Tour
Tokyo is a totally sprawling metropolis full of chevrons

Get picked up from your hotel and start your bus tour. Head
to the Meiji Wooded Shrine for a serene atmosphere, then to the Japanese
Parliament where you can stroll on the grounds of the oriental garden of the
Imperial Palace.
Then you can buy original and fun souvenirs in the Nakamise
shopping street - this long street is a traditional shopping street that goes
to the famous Sensoji temple in Asakusa - with its giant lanterns.
Leave Asakusa by bus, then head to the more modern Ginza
district, where you will enjoy a tasty Western-style lunch included in the tour
- all overlooking the Hamarikyu Garden. After lunch, you will board a boat for
an hour-long excursion to Tokyo Bay. Here is where you will have a breathtaking
view over the rooftops of Tokyo, with its skyscrapers and the rainbow bridge.
End this tour with a shopping spot in Aqua City in the
ultra-modern district of Odaiba, before you and the tour group finish at Tokyo
Station.
Kyoto Sightseeing Tour
Start the day early and depart from your Kyoto hotel in a
comfortable coach. Your guide will start telling you all about the history of
this legendary city. First, you will visit Nijo Castle - it may sound simple on
the outside, but on the inside it is extravagant.
Then you will pass to Kinkaku-Ji, a Buddhist temple known
for its super famous Golden Pavilion, which is covered with fine gold leaf.
Here too you can stroll through the beautifully manicured gardens.
On this tour, you can also explore the Imperial Palace in
Kyoto. Your guide will ensure that you leave informed and full information
about this beautiful and elegant simple building. It was once the home of the
Japanese imperial family, but important ceremonies still take place here too!
Take a moment to think about the Heian Shrine before heading
to the Sanju-Sangendo Hall - here you will marvel at the 1000-armed statue of
Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy, and the 1000 life-size statues that
accompany it.
Take a stroll down a charming road lined with pottery shops
on the way to Kiyomizu Temple. This place has a panoramic view of the city
below. A perfect end to the trip before being brought back to your hotel.
Kamakura and Tokyo Bay Day Trip from Tokyo
When the urban sprawl of Tokyo gives the impression that it
is getting a little too much, it is never too difficult to go out in the wild
from the gargantuan Japanese capital. So why not embark on a day trip to the
nearby town of Kamakura?
Get picked up at one of the city's two pickup points and
visit Jomyo-Ji Temple first. One of the most amazing things you will do here is
to savor powdered green tea (matcha) in an age-old tea room overlooking a
beautiful rock garden.
Then, let yourself be seduced by the incredibly picturesque
bamboo groves of Hokoku-Ji temple - another of the divine temples of Kamakura.
But then it's time to visit the most famous site of Kamakura.
You will find it inside the Kotoku-in temple complex. This
temple houses a 13-meter-high statue of the sitting Buddha. Made of bronze and
built-in 1252, this statue is still intact after hundreds of years - even after
a devastating tsunami that struck in the 15th century! It is certainly an
impressive sight to see.
Savor a traditional Japanese lunch, then continue to
Enoshima, an island south of Tokyo. It is home to the beaches closest to the
Japanese capital and is popular in the summer. And then this very well-organized visit will easily take you back to Tokyo.
Kyoto and Nara Day Trip from Osaka
Kyoto was once an imperial capital of Japan, but so was Nara
- and much longer ago (around 1,000 years ago). You can visit these two
historic cities on an easy day trip from Osaka.
Pick up from your hotel in Osaka and start the day with a
Japanese train trip to Kyoto. Head straight to Nijo Castle, which may not look
like much from the outside, but is opulent on the inside!
Let yourself be captivated by the brilliant golden pavilion
of Kinkaku-Ji and stroll through its magnificent gardens. Explore the graceful
Imperial Palace with its beautiful Japanese architecture. Don't worry - you
will be with an English-speaking guide who is knowledgeable and very
professional, so you will know everything about the places you will be
visiting.
And what could be better than stopping for a traditional
Japanese meal to allow you to continue this tour?
Then you will head to another of the ancient capitals of
Japan: Nara. Here you will see the Kasuga Shrine, with its wonderful path lined
with hundreds and hundreds of stone lanterns, as well as the wooden Todai-Ji
with its giant temple doors.
End the day at Nara Nagomikan, a huge souvenir shop where
you can buy beautiful gifts. Then return to Osaka from Kintetsu Nara station.
